Hi folks, this is a Landscape which I felted back in June following my wonderful trip to Alberta with my husband, Lake Louise is so beautiful, I just had to try and capture it. I have use merino with silks and other fibers. It seems that doing landscapes, other pictures and wallhangings are becoming an integral part of my work, I just love to recapture a scene, but also put my own twist to it. Also to celebrate the wonderful Nicola Brown holding her first workshops in Canada this summer.
On another note, don’t forget that I will be in Market Cross, Kilkenny City with Cross Crafters this weekend so pop along and say hello.
Beautiful memory and art piece. Your work is great. I’ve passion about Ireland as my ex-boss came from Galway of Ireland and my brilliant felting teacher as well. You know she is Nicola ! Like following you.
Yes Nicola is brilliant. We must keep in touch and hopefully meet one day. I am so pleased you like my landscape it means a lot when you get good comments on your work
Thanks Terriea, I’m so glad you like this piece, the memory is great, my Husband is at present working in Northern Alberta and I was spending a few days with him. Next time I’m over sometime next year, hopefully we could meet. I miss him terribly whilst he is away. I’m going to post another landscape this time of Tramore Bay in County Waterford, Ireland. This will be later, hopefully you will like this piece too. P.S. Nicola was selected to exhibit at the prestigious Gluxman (I don’t think I’ve spelt that right sorry) Gallery in Cork this weekend, she is madly getting ready for it, I met her today and gave her some eucalyptus leaves for her final dying, I really hope she has a successful show. Talk soon. Anita
Looking forward to your other pieces. Well see how you miss your husband since apart far. Nicola is great in eco print. Must be a wonderful exhibition.
Great piece. We visit Lake Louise most summers so it was fabulous to see your interpretation. You found the perfect color for the water.
Thanks Deb, I’m staring to blush at all the great comments I’m having. I spend so many hours on my pictures, I love combing and trying to create different colour variations. It’s also amazing when you just use something like a piece of throwsters waste or other colour fiber which throws a totally different dimension on what you are creating. Talk soon have fun felting. Anita
